St Margaret’s church was full on Weds evening as we joined together to officially welcome Rev Chris Clayton at his Licensing Service. The service was conducted warmly by Right Revd Arun Arora, Bishop of Kirkstall, who led the formalities of the event, as the Rev Clayton first reaffirmed his ordination vows before taking the Oath of Allegiance and the Oath of Canonical Obedience and leading the congregation in prayer. The service also included a hearty recommendation by Chris’ previous church in Harrogate, readings done beautifully by children from St Margaret’s Primary school and welcomes from various people in the Community including Simon Dowling from the TownRead More →

Residents of Horsforth were rather sad when popular clergyman Rev Nigel Sinclair left the parish last August for pastures new, having been a much valued member of the community.  But now a new vicar has been found to take the role at St Margaret’s.
