GROVE CINEMA next film Friday 4th April ‘The Fabelmans’
The Fabelmans is directed by the famous Steven Spielberg and stars Michelle Williams, Paul Dano and Seth Rogen. Movies are dreams that you never forget. Growing up in post-World War II era Arizona, young Sammy Fabelman aspires to become a filmmaker as he reaches adolescence, but soon discovers a shattering family secret and explores how the power of films can help him see the truth.

There will also be a school uniform exchange, a chance to learn how to make simple repairs to your own clothes, kids crafts and much more.

LENT TALKS – ‘An Illustrated Creed’ at St Margaret’s Sun evenings from 9th March 6.30pm
This series uses famous paintings to reflect on our beliefs as expressed in the Nicene Creed.

Mother’s Union Meeting at St Margaret’s – Once a month Tuesdays 2pm NEXT MEETING Tues 15th APRIL
Mothers’ Union is an international Christian charity that supports families and campaigns for social justice. We meet once a month at St Margaret’s Parish Centre and everyone is welcome to join us – tea and cake provided. Here are the topics and dates for the next few meetings:

Easter Egg Hunt at St James’ SAT 19th APRIL 10 – 12
‘Our very popular Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Saturday – children young and old are invited to join in! It’s one of our ways of celebrating Easter and God’s love of fun. There’ll be prizes of sweets for egg finders, a chocolate tombola, Easter crafts and refreshments and a chance to meet the characters from the Easter story.’

Meet at the Viewing Board in Hunger Hills Woods for a lovely short service celebrating the resurrection of Christ.
CHOIR FESTIVAL at St James’ Sat 26th April 6pm
After last year’s popular event, St James’ on Low Lane are having another CHOIR FESTIVAL featuring the 5 local choirs: Horsforth Community Choir, three choirs from the Horsforth Music Centre and MOSS (Men Only Singing Songs from Ben Rhydding).
Tickets only £5 and include interval refreshments.

Grove Cinema Friday 3rd May 6.30pm (film at 7pm) ‘WILDING’
In conjunction with Horsforth Climate Action.
Documentary based on Isabella Tree’s best-selling book by the same title, Wilding tells the story of a young couple that bets on nature for the future of their failing, four-hundred-year-old estate. They battle entrenched tradition, and dare to place the fate of their farm in the hands of nature. Ripping down the fences, they set the land back to the wild and entrust its recovery to a motley mix of animals both tame and wild. It is the beginning of a grand experiment that will become one of the most significant rewilding experiments.
Free but donations welcome to cover costs. Entrance on New St, refreshments in interval.

ALPHA course coming up after Easter, Starts Sun 11th May (Provisional date)
Alpha is a place to freely explore the basics of the Christian faith in an open, friendly environment. Everyone’s welcome, no matter your background or beliefs. Come with your questions and thoughts. Welcome Spaces are where people can gather for free in a warm, safe place and enjoy a hot drink and some company.
Horsforth Community Assets Project (HCAP) has pulled together a list of the named Welcome Spaces they have helped to coordinate in Horsforth. More Welcome Spaces can be found on the Leeds City Council website: www.leeds.gov.uk/campaign/welcome-spaces
