Cream Tea/Civic Service celebrates our community
On Sunday 23rd June people enjoyed lovely scones and cakes and made new friends around tables in the Grove Centre, with beautiful flute music in the background provided by members of the Leeds Flute Choir. Amongst those attending were local councillors and dignitaries, people from churches and community organisations, and people seeking asylum who have come here from different countries around the world. The Cream Tea was followed by a short service of thanks and celebration led by Phil Maud of The Grove Methodist, and featured a very large tennis ball being passed around at one point!
