- More people than ever gather at Carols in the Park!Thankful for the better weather this year, the team swung into action and there was a wonderful atmosphere as an estimated more than 800 people gathered to enjoy singing well-known carols and listen to a short service of blessing, ably accompanied by ‘The Stroke of Genius Big Band’, as well as being served a warm drink and a mince pie! - Donate items for Refugees Christmas BoxesHorsforth Town of Sanctuary are making Christmas Present boxes for men seeking sanctuary who are housed in a local hotel, to help them feel loved at this time of festivities, when they are far away from their families. - It’s Shoebox Time! Give a few items or do a full boxLister Hill Baptist is once again supporting this amazing charity & bringing joy to children’s faces around the world, plus we are an area collection centre. Last year over 300 christmas shoeboxes were sent from Horsforth! If you would like to help us , you can either, just give items (toys, hygiene items, school supplies etc) before 9th November – or put together a whole shoebox & drop the box off at Lister Hill as follows: Remember, no toothpaste, sweets or lotions – for suggestions of what to include in the christmas shoeboxes and what can’t be included see HERE.
