Horsforth Community Aid Project has been set up locally and been appointed by the Doing Good Leeds to help link volunteers to those who because of the Corona virus need help.

NEEDING HELP: New hotline for Leeds – 0113 3781877

We know some people are alone and will need help from their local communities to get through. If you find yourself in this situation, where family and friends are no longer in a position to help and you are wondering how to get groceries and other essentials please call the Hotline. The Leeds hotline will then link you to HCAP

Horsforth Community Aid Project includes representatives from Horsforth Live at Home, Horsforth Food Hub,  ABCD Community Builder, Horsforth Children’s’ Services, Horsforth Children’s Centre, Horsforth Churches Together, The Old Kings Arms, Morrisons, City Councillors and the local police This is not meant to be an exclusive list of groups, we continue to value input from others.

Wanting to help

Can you offer help and support? First sign up through the Doing Good In Leeds (Voluntary action Leeds Site)Horsforth Community Aid Project is partnering with Voluntary Action Leeds (VAL) to co-ordinate local volunteering to help those who get in touch with the hotline.  Volunteers can sign up to offer practical support such as shopping deliveries, preparing meals, dog walking, making check-in phone calls

At present we do have plenty of volunteers but that may change as people start to go back to work.
