Horsforth Chaplaincy Project is endorsed by the Horsforth Churches Together (HCT) meeting to organise activities and to represent HCT’s voice in various settings. Working as an independent charitable organisation, (part of LCCT charity number 1096860), the project aims to support the church as a whole in ‘helping Horsforth flourish’ in all aspects of the community.
(It was previously known as the Horsforth Churches Community Outreach Project but changed its name at the start of 2021).

Horsforth Chaplaincy Project Vision
HCP vision is about working together, supporting Horsforth churches to work, serve and reach together to the whole of Horsforth.
HCP vision is a holistic one, ready to care and engage with any and every area of Horsforth life that all who live here would flourish.
HCP vision is a prayerful one, seeking to encourage pray and be an outward expression of the Lord’s prayer.
HCP vision is generous one, seeking that Horsforth as a town would be a blessing beyond LS18.

In March 2024 we were delighted to welcome a new member of the team Laura Schubert, who has taken over from Rose McCarthy as the Refugee Support Worker working 2 days a week on a fixed term due to funding for this post (from Leeds City Council). Duncan still works 2 days and Rhoda 2.5 days a week, as below. We are really enjoying working together in our small team. You can contact Laura on laura@horsforthchaplaincy.org

Financially Supporting Horsforth Chaplaincy Project Team
We rely heavily on donations from individuals who very kindly provide roughly 80 % of our core income, but also on contributions from churches and sometimes small grants. We do have a shortfall, so if you would like to support the work Duncan, Rhoda and Laura are doing in Horsforth by giving financially you can set up a one-off payment or a standing order using online banking,or by sending a cheque or by using the manual standing order form.
You can find the bank details for online banking and all other details you need for other types of payment and gift aid on the form – just click on the link, thank you.
Any queries, please do email Duncan on duncan@horsforthchaplaincy.org
Thank you for supporting us!
